FedEx Grinch Was Busted For Dumping Packages In Florida Instead of Delivering Cheer
This time of year you see more delivery vehicles on the roads than ever, but one FedEx Grinch was busted for dumping packages in Florida instead of delivering cheer.
During the entire month of December, all you see on the roads are vehicles delivering packages ahead of Christmas. Whether it’s Amazon vans, FedEX, UPS and mail trucks, or even unmarked vehicles making sure that things come on time. And everyone gets happy to see the delivery drivers. I’ve been ordering so much this season that when a package comes, it’s like Christmas came early- what’s it gonna be? And while the majority of these employees do right by their company, there’s one FedEx Grinch out there who got busted for dumping packages instead of delivering them.

When I first heard about this, it made me so upset. Not only is it terrible to be doing in and of itself, but especially around Christmas when people are ordering gifts for loved ones. In Holmes County, there was an investigation into some missing packages. According to WFLA, the Sheriff’s department there had contacted FedEx trying to get to the bottom of it. Eventually the missing packages were traced to Latavion Lewis. Apparently, it had gotten late and instead of taking the packages back to the warehouse, he just decided to dump them. Better than stealing them for himself I suppose.
Thankfully they have been able to recover over 40 of the packages so far. So, while it WILL be a Merry Christmas for those customers, it won’t be for Lewis. He was arrested and charged with an Organized Scheme to Defraud Grand Theft and Illegal Dumping.
