Dave’s Uplifting Topic Ruined By Chuck and Andy
Dave Tried To Do A Feel Good Segment But It Was Derailed
Dave and Chuck the Freak. Not known for its uplifting topics. Usually, we can take any feel-good story and turn it right on it’s head. Dave was trying to do a positive caller segment today but Chuck and Andy had other plans. Did we get through a single story without making it negative?
With all the negativity in the world today, Dave wanted to hear from people about their most memorable random act of kindness moment. Right away, it was derailed. A person in Massachusetts returned $12K that they found in a grocery store parking lot according to Boston25News. Boston25News also reports that the person who returned the money was known around the store and ended up receiving a $300 reward.
The positive story of kindness quickly turns as we started to question the man who turned in the money. Was he all there? Was he an employee? Was he a man with little money or little understanding of money? All negative spins on a story that could be considered a really nice act of kindness.
Then the listeners chime-in. A person who paid off children’s gifts there were on layaway at Walmart. A person who was given money by a man at a restaurant because he enjoyed watching their family. Both ruined. Was the person who paid off the gifts just a rich person trying to make themselves feel better about their actions? Was the person who gifted the money a creep, or maybe rude to assume that someone need their help, when they didn’t?
Dave knows he’s in a losing battle. Because with every story that comes in, Chuck and Andy ruin it. Could a guy who was bought chocolate by another man and a chocolate store be an uplifting story? Or maybe the one about a guy who slept with a 73-year-old woman who hadn’t gotten any in a while? Watch the whole Peep Show and find out.
