Can Tampa Bay Rookies Identify Popular Things From The 90s?
Can Tampa Bay rookies identify popular things from the 90s? Shockingly, not really and it’s making us feel pretty old!
It’s hard to believe that the 90s were 30 years ago now. It feels like it was just yesterday that were were playing Nintendo 64, watching our favorite movies on VHS, and using a home phone. However, 30 years can be a long time and people born after the 90s might not be aware of any of our nostalgic memories. In fact, they don’t seem to know much!
Can Tampa Bay Rookies Identify Things From The 90s?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL recently made a viral video putting their rookies to the test. In the video, they ask the rookies questions about 90s things to see if they can identify them. The things are all pretty obvious to anyone who lived during that time: a VHS, Power Rangers, and more. However, it’s not so easy for these young 20-somethings who just entered the league. It has us feeling pretty old by how many they don’t get correct. Check out the viral video for yourself below. How many can you name? I bet you’ll get them all.
How do you not know what a VHS is? Honestly?! It’s baffling to me. Have they really not been around for that long? I feel like I’d recognize old technology from before my time! These guys need to get off their phone and attend a Pop Culture History class or something! I can’t believe it! Good on the Tampa Bay social team for coming up with this idea, it’s great content. Floppy disks are a little harder to recognize but at least they seem to still know their Power Rangers. Granted, that was probably still a thing when they were growing up it just wasn’t as popular as it was in the 90s.
Of course, this isn’t the only NFL-related video going viral recently. I actually made a video where I tried to draw every NFL team logo by memory and that’s getting some views online. It has nearly 6 million views on Instagram and continues to climb. Note: it’s not because of how good my drawings are. They are not great! However, they’re good enough where you should be able to recognize most teams. My favorite part is reading the comments. They’re absolutely hilarious. Check out that Instagram video below. Yes, I know, I can’t draw.
