A Third $100K+ Winning Fantasy 5 Ticket Was Sold In Southwest Florida This Month
The hits keep coming for Florida Lottery Players playing Fantasy 5 in Southwest Florida. Just last week I was writing about 2 Southwest Florida players scoring 6 figure jackpots. On Friday night, it happened again.
Southwest Florida Fantasy 5 Winners in August
For those of you not familiar with the Florida Lottery Fantasy 5, it’s like a mini Powerball, without the Powerball. In Fantasy 5, you pick 5 numbers between 1-36. That’s it, no gold ball, no red ball. What also makes this game special is that they hold drawings twice a day. A mid-day and an evening drawing. Does it matter? Well, all three of the six figure winners in Southwest Florida this month played the evening drawing. Another winner, in North Fort Myers, played the mid-day drawing on August 8th and won $54,166.30.
On Sunday August 11th, Shirley Alicia Barnes of Port Charlotte chose 8-11-17-25-28. She got her ticket from the R&L market on Gertrude Avenue in Port Charlotte. Shirley’s Sunday night winnings was $103,215.74.
On Monday August 12th, we got another big winner on Fantasy 5 here in Southwest Florida. The winner hasn’t claimed that prize yet, but last Monday night’s winning numbers were 12-15-30-24-36. That ticket was bought at the T&T Shell on Palmer Blvd. in Sarasota. The winnings on that one is $108,761.33.
On Friday August 16th, another Southwest Florida winner, this time in Venice. Again, this ticket has not been claimed yet, but the winning numbers were 5-6-13-21-28. That ticket was bought at the Venice Convenient Store and will score someone $124,326.74. The biggest win of the bunch.
Will The Wins Keep Coming For Southwest Florida?
There’s no way to know, but I have been seeing a lot of this game lately. I got burned on my trip to Publix last weekend when I went to pick up a Florida Lottery Gold Rush Legacy $20 card, but accidentally got a Gold Rush Limited card. Totally different game. No win on that one, but a lesson. You gotta pay attention. I think on my next trip to Publix I’ll give the Fantasy 5 game a try.
