Fashion Don’ts: The Top Worst Things To Wear On A First Date
When going on a first date with someone, it’s always a good idea to make a good first impression. Of course, most people know that it’s best to be on time, double-check your hygiene, and wear something that makes you feel confident. In fact, Metro reported that some research shows that 38% of people would decline a second date with someone who wore a bad outfit on the first one. Recently, a poll found the worst things you could wear on a first date.
First Date Outfit Fails
To increase your odds of securing a second date, the people at BestBettingSites.com conducted a global survey of 3,000 respondents and asked if a poor fashion choice or two would make them say “no” to a second date.
Only 13% said it wouldn’t matter at all 56% said they’d factor it in, and 31% said it’s a total dealbreaker. They wouldn’t go on a second date even if the person seemed like a good match in other ways. Also revealed by the study is that most Gen Z can’t tolerate a partner with opposing fashion habits whereas Millennials tend to be more laid-back.
According to Busbee Style, first dates are all about first impressions. You want to look cute while dressing for the occasion and show off your personal style. But you don’t want to send the wrong message by dressing in a way that’s too suggestive or risk putting your date off by dressing too casually.
