Trash Collectors Throw Out Pasco Family’s Patio Furniture
They gathered all of their patio furniture, a couple of antique rockers and some window screens and scattered them across their front lawn. The plan was to pressure wash the entire hoouse and they didn’t want to get bleach all over everything. The couple went into the back yard and started cleaning the exterior walls. After a few minutes, they returned to the front yard to replace all of the patio furniture. But it was all gone… They looked up and down the street, but saw nothing.
After coming up with no clues whatsoever, the stumped couple asked a neighbor to look at their surveillance camera footage. When they sat down to figure out what happened, they were stunned by what they saw. As the lawn furniture sat stacked in the yard, a trash collecting crew drove up, grabbed the furniture, threw it into the back of the truck and drove off. The total items of furniture lost were 4 pieces of outdoor furniture, a glass-topped table, two rocking chairs and several window screens. They did, however, leave a welcome mat behind. The couple immedately called the waste department and asked about the incident. A representative asked them if they had requested a bulk pickup, and they had not. The couple says the furniture should have never been taken, especially since it was nowhere near their trash cans, saying the items were close to the house in the front yard.
Once contacted by Shannon Behnken of Better Call Behnken on NewsChannel 8, a representative of Waste Connections said the company would reimburse the couple for the $915 value of the items, saying it was the proper thing to do. Source: WFLA.com
