Culver’s Makes A Major Change
It can be a sketchy proposition to change the menu at your favorite restaurant. Just imagine if McDonald’s dropped its Egg McMuffin, or if Chick-fil-a tweaked the ingredients in their famous chicken sandwich. Part of the reason why we love our favorite restaurants is the predictability of the experience. We know exactly how a Big Mac will taste. It’s major drama when our tidy world is thrown into chaos because our favorite sauce has been discontinued.
But regardless of the risk, Culver’s has decided to make a change that doesn’t happen much anymore. They are changing their soft drinks from Pepsi products to Coke, and that’s huge. Culver’s has over 900 restaurants, which means someone at Pepsi is probably looking for a new gig at Culver’s. Wisconsin-based Culver’s is best known for its Butter Burgers and Concrete Mixers, which are frozen yogurt dessert items with various items mixed in. If you’ve never had a caramel cashew version, GOOT LAWD! A represenatative from Culver’s says they will still offer their own products, such as root beer and tea, alongside the Coke offerings. Coca Cola will now be supplyng Culver’s with Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Nello Yello, Hi-C and Powerade.
There have been rumblings from dissatisfied customers, but there has also been support for the new beverages. Making the change is not an easy task. With 900+ stores, signage, equipment, menus and more have to be switched. That’s gonna take a while. Meanwhile, if you are a Pepsi or Pepsi producst fan, you may wnna drop by sooner than later. If you’re a Coca-Cola fan, your time is coming! While most of the Culver’s locations are in other states, they operate 93 locations across Florida. Source: WFLA.com
