Florida Woman With Whip And Pitch Fork Arrested For Selling Teddy Bears
The economy has forced some of us into unfamiliar territory. We’ve had to trade in our SUVs for fuel-efficient cars. Many of us have picked up a side hustle. We’ve grown accusotmed to sitting at home and saving money as opposed to going out and having fun. Police say a Lake County woman was taken into custody after reports about her unusual antics scared some customers at a local Publix. Investigators say they responded to a report of a woman in a Publix parking lot who was trying to sell teddy bears. It gets more comnplicated, though. Witnesses say she also had a pitchfork and a whip. She reportedly used the items to intimidate customers as they came and went. According to the police report, 56-year-old Lisa Anne Slone was arrested last Tuesday after the Publix manager called and reported the woman’s erratic behavior. The manager told responding officers that the woman had stabbed a customer’s minivan with the pitchfork, causing damage to the vehicle. Troopers commanded the woman to stop and drop the weapon, but she did not. Officers finally talked her out of the standoff and arrested her. Once in the patrol car’s back seat, police say the woman managed to slip out of her seat belt and began kicking the window repeatedly. According to Florida State Police, the woman apeared to be under the influence of some sort of stimulant. No odor of alcohol was detected by police. Slone was lodged in the Orange Lake County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Source: ClickOrlando.com
