Clearwater Man Accused of Exposing Himself at Gas Station
Gas prices are making people do strange things these days. Recently, a group of men was caught pulling their trucks up to gas pumps, using homemade gadgets to fill huge tanks without paying, and then driving off.
Reports of stolen gasoline from parked vehicles have also risen dramatically. Now, St. Pete Police say a man was arrested on Friday night for some unusual behavior at the fuel pumps in the parking lot of a Wawa in in St. Petersburg.
According to WFLA, they say a man drove around the pumps briefly before stopping beside a customer who was filling their tank at the time. The report says the man, 39-year-old Michael Robert McLean, who was wearing a swimsuit, began to masturbate in full view of the victim.
Investigators say they took the man into custody approximately an hour after the report came in. Police later found that the man was convicted of the crime once before.
