Florida Man Tries To Steal Lobsters On Electric Shopping Cart
When a Florida man wants something, he’ll go to extremes, like this guy who tried to steal lobsters on an electric shopping cart.
David Piloto of Coral Gables showed up at a Publix, hopped on an electric shopping cart and headed toward the seafood section. Once he arrived at the counter, after finding out that lobster tails cost $6.99 each, he proceeded to order 100 of them (yes, nearly $700 worth of lobster).
An arrest report says that when the tails were served, he cruised down the aisle and headed straight for the exit “with no intention of paying.”
We all know the electric shopping carts don’t go THAT fast, so the store manager was able to step in. But the story doesn’t end there.
Florida man proceeded to shove the box of lobster tails at the manager, trying to knock him out of the way, while yelling, “I have a weapon and I’m not afraid to use it!”
Police arrived just in time and apprehended Piloto who was put under arrest and charged with attempted strong arm robbery and simple battery.
