Man Jumps From Moving Plane At LAX
The lesson here: don’t do drugs
A “lot” of crystal meth was reportedly involved with a man who jumped from a moving plane at LAX.
The man, 33-year-old Luis Antonio Victoria Dominguez of La Paz, Mexico, reportedly ran to the front of the plane during his flight, banged on the cockpit door, and eventually made his way out of the emergency exit, jumping down the emergency slide.
The man had some free time on his hands before deciding on a flight for Friday and told FBI investigators that he drank a lot of beer and about $20 worth of meth while he stayed in a downtown L.A. hotel.
The Washington Post reports that the man also admitted to smoking the drug “on and off” in a different hotel the day after his purchase, and then again the day before he jumped from the plane.
The U.S. attorney’s office in the Central District of California says Victoria Dominguez faces a 20-year maximum sentence in federal prison on the charge of interfering with the flight crew.
