Local Beach/Covid-19 Information
Covid-19 concerns have caused our local municipalities and counties to make some decisions regarding the 4th of July holiday.
COLLIER COUNTY BEACHES CLOSED 11AM-5PM SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
CITY OPERATED BEACHES IN NAPLES AND ON MARCO ISLAND ARE STILL OPEN
SANIBEL HAS ISSUED A MASK REQUIREMENT WITH CHURCHES, BEACHES AND GOLF CLUBS EXCLUDED. ALL CITY HOURLY-PAID PARKING WILL BE SUSPENDED AT THESE SANIBEL BEACHES:
LIGHTHOUSE BEACH, TARPON BAY ROAD BEACH, GULFSIDE CITY BEACH, BLIND PASS BEACH, AND THE FISHING PIER. THIS GOES INTO EFFECT FRIDAY AND WILL END TUESDAY JULY 7TH AT 11:59PM-NO ALCOHOL WILL BE PERMITTED ON SANIBEL BEACHES
LEE COUNTY SAYS IT HAS NO PLANS TO CLOSE THE BEACHES AT THIS TIME. THE FORT MYERS BEACH TOWN COUNCIL WILL MEET AT 1PM TODAY TO FURTHER DISCUSS POSSIBLE RESTRICTIONS FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND.
