Panic = Bad Decisions
I can’t watch TV, and I’m avoiding my social media due to the non-stop barrage of Corona Virus coverage. I’m a broadcaster, I know the message I need to deliver to my audience, but the negativity being displayed, in a moment when we need to come together and cooperate is mind boggling to me.
Blaming someone…or some country…or some entity does us no good at this point. Maybe because I’m a “problem-solver,” I’m always hesitant to throw someone under the bus when things go awry. It does us no good to blame Corona Virus on Trump, Obama, China or anyone/anything else. What we need to do is ACT!!
Listen to HEALTH EXPERTS….Politicians are for the most part going to protect their own interests. Do what the doctors and health professionals say. Wash your hands, avoid large crowds, if you’re sick, stay home and seek medical attention.
It looks like for the near future, most of our recreational activities will be postponed or canceled. I have great concern for my friends in the music and hospitality business. We’re gonna take a financial hit, as will others. Use this opportunity to reconnect with your family, read a book, or start a long delayed project. Panic buying is counter-productive. The toilet paper rush could be one of the most ignorant and selfish moments I’ve seen in my lifetime.
We’re being challenged, and very much like in the aftermath of 9/11, we don’t have all the facts. But one thing is clear….
PANIC = BAD DECISIONS!
I’ll be on the radio as much as necessary over the next few days. We also have excellent resources on this website if you’re seeking information on the virus. If I can be of service, don’t hesitate to contact me.
