Tommy Vext on New Bad Wolves Album: It’s a ‘No Holds Barred Record’
Bad Wolves‘ new album, N.A.T.I.O.N., drops today (October 25), and it’s an album that runs deep with the band.
Singer Tommy Vext appeared on Talkin’ Rock with Meltdown where he said, “I mean, there’s a lot of songs that are personal on this record…’Sober’ is a really important song to me, because it’s not just about the first person who’s the addict/alcoholic going through the process of being sober. It’s about how alcoholism and addiction affects the family as a whole because alcoholism and addiction is a family disease. No one ever talks about what the moms and the dads and the siblings or the husbands and wives and boyfriends and girlfriends and friends and employers go through when you’re going through the process of killing yourself with drugs and alcohol.”
Vext continued, “…Even ‘Foe or Friend’ is a song about my experience in the witness protection program, after my brother tried to kill me and I testified against him. He had hired someone to murder me and I actually pulled the audiotapes from the court case, and they’re in the song…It’s kind of a no holds barred record.”
N.A.T.I.O.N. is out now with exclusive merch bundles available at BadWolvesNation.com.
