Kanye West’s “Sunday Service” Reworks Nirvana Classics
Kanye West and his “Sunday Service” performances, which NPR called, “exclusive, musical worship gatherings for the rich and famous…[that] aren’t so much about piety as they are about self-promotion,” has now taken on the catalog of Nirvana.
Below is a clip from the latest “Sunday Service” that see a choir perform reworked covers of “Come As You Are” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
Not quite sure if altering the lyrics to reflect a gospel-like message falls under the definition of “blasphemy,” but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
