Weezer Drop ‘Mister Rogers’ Spoof, New Track from “The Black Album”
It’s a beautiful day to enjoy some new Weezer, a beautiful day for Weezer fans.
Following the surprise release of the covers LP, Weezer (“The Teal Album”), Weezer (“The Black Album”) comes out next Friday (March 1), and fans definitely got an eyeful thanks to the new video for “High As A Kite.”
Embedded below, the video is an offbeat parody of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood that sees Rivers Cuomo donning the iconic snazzy cardigan. However, things take a dark turn leading to the studio audience of parents and children to scatter in fear. (It sounds rather bleak, but it is morbidly funny.)
The band also released the audio for “Living in L.A.,” making it the fourth track preview from “The Black Album” following “Can’t Knock The Hustle,” “Zombie Bastards” and the aforementioned “High As A Kite.”
Weezer (“The Black Album”) is “The Black Album” available for pre-order here.
