Dave Grohl Reveals He Recently Underwent Arm Surgery
This definitely explains why the Foo Fighters had to postpone some recent gigs.
Per Billboard, Dave Grohl said at the Pollstar Live conference in Los Angeles that he had surgery on his left arm about a week ago.
He didn’t specify what type of surgery it was, but he did say, ”This is something I’ve had to deal with for a long time and it’s not the end of the world but I did have to have surgery on my arm because I need it to pay the rent.”
In typical Grohl fashion, he had a sense of humor about the surgery saying, “Right before they wheeled me in [for surgery] the guys said ‘hey, we’re going to give you something that’s going to make you feel really good’ and I thought I finally get to take a nap.”
Maybe Grohl would be able to nap more if it weren’t for all the “FRESH POTS!” of coffee he consumes, but I digress.
Foo Fighters were forced to reschedule two shows at the new Fillmore in New Orleans, which were set to take place February 15 and 16. The only reason cited at the time was “band member injury.” Those shows were rescheduled for May 15 and 16.
