8 Steel Panther Song Titles More Offensive Than Satchel’s Guitar Pedal Name
TC Electronic has come under fire because of a new signature guitar pedal for Steel Panther guitarist Satchel.
The reason for all of the fuss? The pedal’s name. Its name? “P*ssy Melter.”
The backlash has become so intense that TC Electronic has released a statement saying, “It has never been our intention to offend anyone but simply to provide fans of Steel Panther with guitar presets made by Satchel. We recognize that the material was inappropriate and we have removed the TonePrint in question from the app and we will take it down from our website as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize.”
Is the name “P*ssy Melter” inherently offensive? Yes, but that’s kind of Steel Panther’s thing. They’re a parody hair metal band that is blatantly poking fun of the genre. There’s a big difference between their guitarist branding a guitar pedal with such a name than someone like Synyster Gates or Kirk Hammett…or literally any other guitarist other than f*cking Satchel from Steel Panther!
In fact, if you look at Steel Panther’s catalog, there’s a slew of song titles that are infinitely more offensive than “P*ssy Melter.” Here are just eight examples in no particular order of offensiveness.
