Netflix May Be Testing An ‘Ultra Tier’ For Maximum Service
Well, that probably is going to be expensive.
CNET shares “Known as Ultra, the new tier would allow four devices to receive Ultra HD video and audio streaming simultaneously, according to Italian blog Tutto Android.”
The interesting part is not only would four screens be available, but the “Audio Streaming” note is something to be interested in… Can we say, opening up to more than just video?
According to Netflix Rep Smita Saran, quoted in CNET‘s report, she says “We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time… In this case, we are testing slightly different price points and features to better understand how consumers value Netflix.”
If this comes to fruition, the cost could be almost $20 for the service. But, in short, if you’ve got two parents and two kids already wanting to be on Netflix, it may cause fewer arguments in the home. Or.. Y’know, having to text your friend across town asking if you can get on for a movie since he’s got two devices running.
