Drama Still Surrounds Chester Bennington’s Estate
Chester Bennington‘s estate is not resting in peace these days.
TMZ reports that Bennington’s first wife Samantha Olit has filed a claim for $502,500 from the estate for child support she says Bennington owes her from 2012-2017, along with a share of songwriting and performing royalties and merchandise sales related to his time with Linkin Park and Stone Temple Pilots.
The two were married from 1996-2005 and had one son, Draven, who’s now 15.
Bennington committed suicide on July 20 and his will was filed during October, with most of his assets assigned to his wife Talinda and their three children. Bennington had six children from three relationships and set up a trust for all of them as well as provisions to pay for travel so the siblings could “visit with one another…on a regular and ongoing basis, so that my children know that they have a large and loving family.”
Linkin Park recently released One More Light Live from a European tour earlier this year; the album is dedicated to Bennington.
