VIDEO: Krist Novoselic Joins Foo Fighters On Stage
Reunions of Nirvana‘s surviving members have been few and far between since Kurt Cobain‘s suicide in 1994, but one took place on Tuesday night (December 5) during a Foo Fighters show in Eugene, Ore.
Bassist Krist Novoselic joined the group for a version of its “Big Me,” joining Nirvana bandmate and Foos frontman Dave Grohl, and latter-day Nirvana guitarist Pat Smear, who’s a Foos member, much to the delight of the crowd at the Matthew Knight Arena.
Novoselic, Grohl and Smears’ most famous Nirvana reunion came during the group’s 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, when they performed with guest vocalists Joan Jett, Lorde, Kim Gordon and St. Vincent during the ceremony and then played a full concert afterwards at the St. Vitus Bar Brooklyn.
The trio last performed at Clive Davis’ 2016 pre-Grammy Awards party in honor of the late David Bowie.
