Looks Like Kid Rock Won’t Be Running For U.S. Senate After All
Those hopes of seeing Kid Rock on the campaign trail and entering rallies to “You Never Met A Motherf*cker Quite Like Me” have officially been dashed.
Rock finally put all of those U.S. Senate rumors to rest on Howard Stern’s show this morning saying (per transcription of the Detroit Free Press), “F*ck no, I’m not running for Senate. Are you kidding me? Who couldn’t figure that out? I’m releasing a new album. I’m going on tour too. Are you f*cking sh*tting me?”
Sure, the fact that he was selling merchandise that read “Kid Rock For U.S. Senate” should’ve been the biggest tell. (If he was really serious, he’d likely be using his legal name of Robert Ritchie.)
But c’mon, Rock…anything is possible nowadays. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura have served as Governors of California and Minnesota, respectively, and currently, we have Al Franken serving as the junior Senator from Minnesota and Donald Trump as the President of the United States. You can’t blame people for taking the bait.
Plus, your Senate campaign logo was actually very slick. Kudos to whoever designed it!
When my name was thrown out there for US Senate I decided to launch https://t.co/RRVgISDFeq....
