Foo Fighters Receive New Platinum Awards From RIAA
As they prepare for the release of their new album, the members of Foo Fighters have some more heavy metal for their wall.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has announced six new platinum certifications for the Foos’ past releases, including the 2007 album Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace and 2011’s Wasting Light, along with the single Learn To Fly. The singles “The Pretender,” “Best Of You” and “Everlong,” meanwhile, have each been certified double-platinum.
The Foos’ new album, Concrete Gold, comes out September 15; The group has two more concerts in Europe before beginning a North American tour on October 7 at Cal Jam in San Bernardino, Calif.
