Evanescence Releasing New Album This Fall, Announce New Tour
Evanescence is back with a new studio album and tour.
Synthesis marks the band’s fourth studio release and their first since 2011’s Evanescence. The album will contain re-worked, orchestral versions of some of their biggest hits, along with two new songs. So far, an exact release date hasn’t been announced, but the album is expected Fall 2017.
Along with the Synthesis album will be accompanying tour, which, like their new album, will include a full orchestra.
In a statement on the upcoming tour, singer Amy Lee said, “This will be our first time touring with orchestra and I’m so excited to perform this way-really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we’ve built over the years. I’m also really excited about the new material on the album. Besides the two new songs, there are some really beautiful instrumental in-between moments. The whole thing flows like a big, dynamic soundtrack.”
The tour will kick off October 14 in Las Vegas and will wrap December 19 in Portland, Ore. Tickets go on sale to the general public August 18, with a special pre-sale for AT&T customers beginning August 15 at 10 AM at ATT.com/FrontOfTheLine.
