About This Nikki Sixx “Unofficially Retired” Business…
Many fans that follow Nikki Sixx on Facebook were greeted with a surprising status update today saying that he has “no immediate tour plans” and that he’s “unofficially retired.”
For starters, from his syndicated radio show to working on books, a TV show and a stage play, Sixx is anything but retired. Plus, Sixx had hip surgery in April and said in a previous Facebook update he needs to get two more surgeries this year on his shoulders.
Long story short: He’s in dire need of recovery time, and you certainly can’t get that on the road. Plus, we’d hate to think Sixx: A.M. are completely done with touring.
At this point, the only way we’d believe Sixx is done with the road is if he follows his own lead like he did with the rest of Motley Crue and signs a contract stating he won’t ever play live again.
