Dave Grohl Hints At New Foo Fighters Album Details
Dave Grohl has teased some information about Foo Fighters‘ new album, Concrete And Gold, which is due out September 15.
Talking to BBC One, Grohl says the album includes “a bunch of guests…(some) that will really surprise you.” Among those is one he calls “probably the biggest pop star in the world and — I’m not kidding — sings backup on one of the heaviest songs on the record, and we’re not telling anybody who it is.”
Initial speculation is on Adele, who’s worked with Concrete And Gold co-producer Greg Kurstin in the past. Grohl also calls it “the biggest sounding Foo Fighters record we’ve ever made…Honestly, I think it’s going to take a lot of people by surprise…It’s definitely the hugest thing we’ve ever done.”
The Foos have already released the single “Run” from the album and have played the new tracks “La Di Da” and “The Sky is a Neighborhood” at recent European concerts.
The Foos kick off a North American tour on October 12 with a special show opening The Anthem in Grohl’s hometown of Washington, D.C.
