Will Ferrell Comedy Gold
Will Ferrell Comedy Gold: Today is Ferrell’s birthday and he is 57 years old. So it got me to thinking about his career and just how many projects he has been in over the years that were flat out funny. Ferrell is one of those guys who is funny the minute he walks into a room. I’m not sure if it is the smirk on his face or the familiar understanding that his sense of humor will find something funny about any situation that makes him so hilarious.
He was born in Irvine, California. His mom was a teacher and his dad played sax and keyboards for the Righteous Brothers. The younger Ferrell was a kicker on his high school football team. After earning a degree in Sports Information at USC he got an internship at a local TV station. He wanted to be a sportscaster. But he hated the internship. He worked as a bank teller but his money drawer repeatedly came up short due to carelessness. He was also a valet at a hotel but drove a car under a low beam and tore the luggage rack off the top of a car. At that point he decided to get into comedy.
