What’s The Most Expensive Rock Album Ever Made?
Just like with movies, sometimes an album will go over budget and have production costs spiral out of control. Loudwire just published a list of the 10 most expensive rock albums ever. #1 on the list was Guns N’Roses’ Chinese Democracy, which took ten years and a staggering $13 million to record. Behind that was Def Leppard’s Hysteria. The album cost $4.5 million to make back in 1987, the equivalent of over $10 million today. Some other expensive classics include Metallica’s black album, Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk, and Foo Fighters’ One By One.
