Virginia Cop Hired A Hooker That Ended Up Stealing His Car

A Virginia cop hired a hooker that ended up stealing his car! That is not what you want to have happen in that situation.

Hiring a hooker comes with its fair share of risks. You could get busted by the police in some sort of sting, you could get robbed and mugged, you could get a disease, or she could end up stealing your car! It sounds like that's what ended up happening here. An officer in Virginia hired a hooker named Dream and then had to call it in and report himself after she stole his car, wallet, and police credentials (along with all of his pride). She was later found driving around in his car with another man, who she referred to as her "baby daddy." Not a great night for that officer.

According to WAVY, J'ron Harry was a Hampton police officer when court documents say he met 20-year-old Alexus "Dream" Copeland on an app. Reports say he hired her for sex on December 30th where they met up at an apartment in Virginia Beach. Harry told police he sent $100 in Apple Pay to Dream for sex and the 2 laid in bed before Harry said they agreed to take a shower together. However, she never joined him. Rather than join him in the shower as they had allegedly agreed, she took off with his phone, keys, wallet, and car (in which his police credentials were inside). He then had to call Virginia Beach Police using a neighbor's phone and had to explain what happened, per WAVY.

Eventually, law enforcement was able to track her and the vehicle down. When they located her inside the vehicle she was joined by another man who she said was her "baby daddy." It sounds like she claimed that Harry agreed to let her use his car before admitting that wasn't true. According to WAVY, Copeland is now facing several charges including: Grand larceny auto theft; grand larceny of greater than or equal to $1,000 not taken directly from another person; credit card fraud of less than $1,000 in 6-month period; prostitution; obtain credit car number--larceny; and grand larceny--stealing motor vehicle.

Harry is not facing any charges for his involvement in this situation but he has been terminated form the Hampton Police Division, per WAVY. The investigation is ongoing and Copeland is expected back in court in March. You can see Dream's mugshot provided by Virginia Beach Police below.

While committing crimes may seem black and white (you either broke the law or you didn't), there are certainly some crimes that are dumber than others. Sometimes it's the crime itself that's wild, other times, it's the people committing said crimes. These are 5 of the craziest, cringeworthy crimes ever committed.

Crimes can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. However, it takes a very unique individual, a case study if you will, to commit some of these outrageously dumb crimes. Years ago, these criminals would have been featured on Spike TV or one of those America's Dumbest Criminal shows. Today, I'm not sure if those shows are around...and I'm certain Spike TV isn't around anymore. That's a story for another time.

Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren't a matter of life or death. There's no ethics quiz here, or any matters of 'would you steal bread to support your family?' These crimes, and criminals, aren't straight up cringeworthy.

While all of these crimes are crazy and certainly cringeworthy, they also make for excellent conversation pieces. That's why I've gone and found five examples of the wildest stories that Dave and Chuck the Freak have talked about and made a list highlighting the best of the best.
