Good morning Bruin family,
I write not to alarm you but inform you. Late last night a social media post started circulating threatening violence at our school today. I immediately notified the Lee County Sheriff's Office who started an investigation that ended very early this morning with the arrest of one of our students.
The investigation continues, so not only will there be legal consequences for the student but they will be disciplined per the Student Code of Conduct.
Teaching and learning will continue as normal today. We thank you for trusting us with your student.
