Florida Man Steals Lights Off Of Murder Victim’s Grave
A Polk County man has been arrested after stealing lights from a homicide victim’s grave on January 25th.
The grave was home to Damion Tillman, 23. He was a victim of a triple homicide back in July of 2020. He was beaten and shot to death.
The Tillman family placed solar lights on his grave and reported them stolen on January 13th. The family then decided to replace the lights but added a game camera to catch any potential thieves in the future.
On the 25th of January, the camera spotted a man taking the lights. The family notified authorities and gave them a description of the suspect and his truck.
Kevin Wheeler, 45, was pulled over in the described truck and arrested. He had the other stolen solar lights in his truck.
So what was his reason for stealing the lights? Because they were “pretty”.
