Florida Man Breaks Into Cars, Orders A Lyft As His Getaway
Markinson Telusnord, 19, of Orlando Fl, has been arrested and charged with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, grand theft, and petty theft. He allegedly broke into multiple cars on Vanderbilt Beach and Pine Ridge Road in Collier County.
K-9 and aviation units were dispatched to the area of Tuscana Court on Nov 18th at 1:30 AM after deputies received reports of a car alarm going off.
A deputy saw Telusnord walking near the area where the alarms were going off. He was detained and had several credit cards on him. One of the credit cards belonged to one of the victims of the burglaries.
While Telusnord was still in police custody on the scene, a Lyft driver showed up to pick him up.
He used one of the stolen credit cards to order a getaway vehicle.
He canceled the ride and a $5 cancellation fee was added to the victim’s credit card.
Instead of paying for a ride home, Telusnord got a free trip to jail.
