Cape Coral Man Steals Car, Flees Cops, Pretends To Live In Someone Elses Home
32-year-old Robert Gosnell was arrested in the driveway of Gary Titensor’s home in Cape Coral after a series of strange events.
Police started to follow Gosnell after witnessing some suspicious behaviour at a gas station. They attempted to pull him over after he left the gas station, but he instead led police on a chase.
Gosnell crashed and totaled the car at the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard South and SE 40th Terrace. He fled the scene on foot, hopping over many Cape Coral residents fences and gates.
He ended up at Gary Titensor’s house and got as close as the front door. Gosnell claimed that he lived at that residence.
Police were eventually able to get him away from the front door and into the driveway where he was arrested.
Police found drugs and stolen credit cards in the vehicle that he was in, which was a stolen blue Volkswagen.
Gosnell has been arrested 19 times since 2007.
Gary Titensor said, “It’s sad that people get so whacked out on drugs that they do those kind of things.”
