BERLIN – AUGUST 14: A scientist operates a RT-PCR machine ( the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a technique to amplify a single or few copies of a piece of DNA ) that converts RNA nucleic acid into its complementary DNA nucleic acid during the analysis for a A(H1N1) virus, the influenza A(H1N1), commonly being referred to as ‘swine flu’, at the Berlin-Brandenburg laboratory on August 14, 2009 in Berlin, Germany. Authorities have warned that a more aggressive form of swine flu could start to spread in the coming months, putting more Germans at risk. (Photo by Andreas Rentz/Getty Images)
Jeff Tosti received a call that he never thought he would receive. That call was to inform him that he had a son, Nikolas Norendale.
Nordendale said, “I have two wonderful parents, you know, siblings I’ve grown up with, but I knew that my mother had me from a previous relationship.”
This news came in light of the results of a 23 and Me test.
The two eventually contacted each other and now regularly facetime at least once a week.
Jeff Totsi is a nurse at NCH and Nikolas Norendale is a rocket engineer. Nikolas will be spending time in Cape Canaveral for work and he will make time to visit his biological father so they can finally meet face to face.
