Uber Driver Scared By Passenger That Refused To Wear A Mask
Unfortunately this is a very common occurrence. Whether it’s at the grocery store, DMV, theme parks, or even Uber and Lyft, people are freaking out over mask requirements.
That was the case for Nina Fournier, an Uber driver from North Fort Myers.
She picked up a passenger that was not wearing a mask. She requested that he put on his mask and reminded him that it is company policy that drivers and passengers wear masks.
At this point he started yelling profanities at her. He finally complied and put his mask on. After a very awkward ride, they arrived at his destination in North Fort Myers.
Once at his destination, he continued to yell profanities at the driver.
Fournier said, “He got out of my car, slammed the door, very hard, and then stood in front of my car, inviting me to run him over, and this was all over me asking him to wear a mask.”
Phil Mullen, Public Affairs Officers of the Cape Coral Police Department said, “If you’re going to use a ride-sharing app or a taxi, or whatever you need to understand if that company has a policy that you must wear a mask you’re going to have to wear a mask.”
