Florida has grabbed the top spot for education in the country for 2024. Students enjoy the cheapest in-state college costs in America, while schools keep up impressive graduation rates.

Ranked 30th in the country, the University of Florida leads the pack. The university's tough 24% acceptance rate means kids need top-notch grades — usually a 3.9 GPA. To get in, students need SAT scores ranging from 1300-1480.

Three major schools — Florida State University, University of Miami, and South Florida — lead the way in Florida's college scene. Florida International University, University of Central Florida, and Florida A&M sit at spots five through seven.

Florida ranks second in the nation for both two-year and four-year graduation rates. This comes from good high school prep and solid college support programs.

U.S. News and World Report released these rankings, which looks at things like academic reputation, how well students do, and classroom resources. While Florida's doing great with early education access and high school graduation rates, middle school performance in main subjects is just okay compared to other states.
