Thanks to a heartfelt donation from philanthropist Barry Lukach, a wonderful new program is taking shape at Golisano Children's Hospital. His $150,000 gift to Barbara's Friends will help put cozy teddy bears into the hands of kids battling cancer.
Every child coming to the hospital's cancer and blood disorder units gets to have their own special bear. These cuddly companions stay with the children throughout their treatment journey. Community members are encouraged to donate to this program. Visit BarbarasFriends.org to donate, or call 239-343-6950 to find out more.
