Did A Florida Woman Try To Murder Someone Over A Bad Tip?
Did a Florida woman try to murder someone over a bad tip? That’s what she’s being accused of, so don’t forget to leave 20%!
Tipping culture has gotten a bit out of hand since the pandemic. Now, it seems like you’re expected to tip (and tip well) everywhere you go. Even for tasks that don’t seem to deserve it there will be a tip jar out for you to leave some gratuity. Don’t have any cash or change? That’s okay! They now have electric tip machines where you can leave a tip on your card. On top of that, you’ll always be prompted about leaving a tip and if you want to leave 20%, 10%, 5%, or custom. Where is that “No Thank You” button? It seems to be significantly smaller than the others and harder to notice. Strange. So, it’s understandable that tipping can leave you frustrated both as the customer and the employee. However, it’s safe to say this woman might have taken things a bit too far over an alleged bad tip. She was arrested for attempted murder over a bad tip in Kissimmee, Florida!
Florida Woman Arrested For Attempted Murder Over Bad Tip
According to WFTV 9, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home invasion and stabbing at the Riviera Motel on E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, Florida and when they arrived on scene they located a victim who was stabbed several times. Law enforcement learned that the victim had ordered a pizza from a local restaurant earlier in the night where the suspect, 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, got upset about her bad tip that she received from the victim, per WFTV 9. Reports say she later returned to the motel with an unknown male suspect who had a firearm and they forced their way into the room. That’s when Alvelo attacked one of the victims with a knife, per WFTV 9. The victim was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition.
Additionally, it sounds like items were also stolen from the room during this altercation. Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit obtained an arrest warrant for Alvelo with charges including home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault, per WFTV 9. She was arrested and booked into Osceola County Jail. However, the male suspect who was with her remains at large and law enforcement is trying to track him down.
