Woman Accidentally Shoots Friend During A Joke

It's all fun and games until someone gets shot. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. In this case, it's more like it's all fun and games until a woman accidentally shoots her friend during a joke. According to the Memphis Police Department, a woman accidentally shot her friend while she was joking around about fighting her.

The joke ultimately fell flat. According to Action News 5, the woman was arrested and charged.

According to reports, police responded to a shooting call on December 14th in the area. Upon arrival, the police discovered that a female victim was shot in the chest.

A witness and friend of the victim told police that the suspect, Tiosha Rogers, shot the victim, according to Action 5 News.

Action 5 News says that according to police, Rogers, the witness, and the victim were all joking about fighting each other. That's when things got real.

Rogers told police on scene that she was not arguing or actually fighting with the victim, she was only joking around. According to Action News 5, Rogers was taken into custody and is now facing charges for aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

This is a great time to point out that you shouldn't play with guns. Joking around is good! I greatly enjoy joking around. However, when firearms or weapons are around it's probably not smart to pick that moment to joke around.

Additionally, comedy is all about timing. Choosing to joke around while a loaded gun is around isn't just dumb, it's poor comedy. The timing is horrible.

If you own a firearm, be a responsible firearm owner. Keep it in a safe place, where it can't be accessed by anyone who shouldn't be handling it. Only have it out if you're trained, prepared, and aware of what you're doing. This was not the appropriate time to have a gun out, clearly.

While committing crimes may seem black and white (you either broke the law or you didn't), there are certainly some crimes that are dumber than others. Sometimes it's the crime itself that's wild, other times, it's the people committing said crimes. These are 5 of the craziest, cringeworthy crimes ever committed.

Crimes can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. However, it takes a very unique individual, a case study if you will, to commit some of these outrageously dumb crimes. Years ago, these criminals would have been featured on Spike TV or one of those America's Dumbest Criminal shows. Today, I'm not sure if those shows are around...and I'm certain Spike TV isn't around anymore. That's a story for another time.

Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren't a matter of life or death. There's no ethics quiz here, or any matters of 'would you steal bread to support your family?' These crimes, and criminals, aren't straight up cringeworthy.

While all of these crimes are crazy and certainly cringeworthy, they also make for excellent conversation pieces. That's why I've gone and found five examples of the wildest stories that Dave and Chuck the Freak have talked about and made a list highlighting the best of the best.
