Cop Commandeers Bike to Catch Drug Dealer
Running from the cops is not a good idea. Committing the crimes in the first place isn’t either, even if you think the cops can’t make it to where you are. Because, watch as a cop commandeers a bike to catch this drug dealer in the UK.
Cop Commandeers Bike to Catch Drug Dealer
This wild scene actually took place back in August of this year in the United Kingdom. An officer responds to a call about suspected illegal activity. Upon arriving at the scene, which happened to be a park, the officer had to think quickly. His vehicle was unable to enter and that’s when he used his quick-thinking skills to commandeer a bicycle from a man simply riding in the park.
This man offered his transportation up with no hesitation. The officer rides off down a hill, eventually catching up with the suspect and tackling him! The officer flies off the bike and makes an incredibly jump to snag his suspect. Also, the officer returned the bike to the Good Samaritan who offered it up in the name of the law.
Can they really commandeer transportation?
Well, different states have different laws and different countries operate in their own ways as well. There are honestly mixed reports about this situation. Some people say the police have no power to take your vehicle, while others say they do. Some information suggests they have the ability to use your vehicle but must ask permission first. Either way, we hope you don’t have to encounter an emergency scenario where an officer would need to use your car, or bicycle in this case.
Has this happened to you?
