Florida Man Pulls Gun On Massage Therapist, Demands Happy Ending
There’s nothing like a relaxing massage after a stressful day at work. A trained massage therapist, the scent of an aromatherapy candle gently floats through the dimly lit room as a recorded babbling brook sound effect plys on a cheap boom box, encouraging the tension to quietly drift away. And then there’s the massage itself. Kneading palms and fingers find just the right spots, releasing tight muscles you didn’t even know you had. It’s truly a life-changing experience.
But sometimes, things are not as much about the massage as the…well, ending. While Tampa is known for having some of the best legit massage therapists in the country, there’s also a darker side to the profession.
We’ve all seen those “other” massage parlors, still open at 3 am, windows covered with aluminum foil, pink neons blazing into the night. Tampa is also known for massage parlors that specialize in a totally different type of experience. Most of the time, clients know the differences between the two types of businesses, but sometimes they get confused. That seems to be the case with Florida man in Eustis, Florida this week.
Police say Timothy Paul Taylor received a massage last week. But after the massage was finished, he told the therapist that he wanted a happy ending. The thing is, this wasn’t “that kind” of place. The man had chosen a legitimate business that didn’t offer such things. The therapist refused to perform the illicit act for the suspect. That’s when investigators say the suspect got angry.
After requesting a happy ending from the massage therapist several more times,
they say the man produced a gun and demanded to be satisfied, threatening to kill the woman in the process. The therapist said no once again. During the altercation, the woman was able to escape and run to a neighboring business, where she notified police about the incident.
When police arrived, Taylor had already left the scene. After a short search, they found the suspect’s car at his mother’s home. After questioning the mother, she told them where Taylor was located.
During their investigation, the mother told them that Taylor arrived at her house and told her that he had “done something he shouldn’t have done”. After that, he ran into a wooded area close to the house. Police used K-9s to locate and arrest the man. Taylor was charged with attempted sexual battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and resisting arrest.
