Senator Linda Stewart of Orlando is proposing legislation that would require state residents to obtain a prescription before purchasing most sunscreens…
And it’s not because Senator Stewart is concerned about your health…She’s concerned about environmental health, specifically the health of our water and coral reefs. The culprits, two chemicals present in these sunscreens, Oxybenzone and Octinoxate.
Some health offcials fear a bill like this could cause an increase in skin cancer cases.
