LIMAVADY, NORTHERN IRELAND - SEPTEMBER 18: On his second attempt pilot William McMinn takes to the air on board the 1909 Ferguson monoplane on September 18, 2016 in Limavady, Northern Ireland. The Ulster Aviation Society is a group of mostly retired aviation enthusiasts who restore vintage aeroplanes to promote the preservation of aircraft and highlight Northern Ireland's aviation heritage. The late Harry Ferguson was an engineer and inventor from nearby Dromore, County Down noted for his role in the development of the modern day agricultural tractor and also for being the first person in Great Britain or Ireland to design, build and fly his own aeroplane in 1909. A pilot in a small plane had his friend film him as he takes off from the edge of a cliff. The plane takes an immediate dive and it looks like it’s going to crash into the river below . . . but he levels it off in the nick of time.
