96K-Rock Remembers Leroy Van Zant

Beasley Media Group is saddened by the sudden tragic passing of Leroy Firestone. According to the Manatee County Sheriffs Office, Leroy was fatally injured while standing on a ladder performing maintenance on the hydraulics of a garbage truck. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.”

Leroy Firestone was also known as “Leroy Van Zant”.  A gentle giant, he was a beloved member of the Stan and Haney Show and the 96k-Rock family from 2003-2008.

Lee was a fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor.  He will be dearly missed.
