A $15,000 Food and Nutrition Security Grant from Collier Community Foundation will help Southwest Florida food programs. The money will help feed thousands of students while supporting nearly 2,000 local families.
On March 11, 2025, Brighter Bites formed new partnerships to address food needs across Lee and Collier counties. Freshpoint South Florida teamed up with B&W Quality Growers and Harry Chapin Food Bank to get fresh food to those who need it most.
"Together, we are increasing food access, improving nutrition security, and supporting the development of healthy habits," Rich Dachman, Chief Executive Officer of Brighter Bites, said to AndNowUKnow.
Since 2012, Brighter Bites has delivered over 65 million pounds of fresh produce to families nationwide. Last year alone, food worth $852,000 went to thousands of families and teachers across the country.
Support for Brighter Bites comes from donors, like Publix Super Markets Charities, Southeastern Grocers, and the Lipman Family Giving Fund.
