Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach Is Accepting Reservations For The Holidays
The news keeps getting better for Parrot Heads and Southwest Floridians wanting a beach getaway. Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach is accepting reservations for the holidays now. In September the new resort opened bookings for February. However, much progress has been made in construction and it appears the resort will be ready earlier than expected. Now you can get a room as early as December 21st.
The newest, biggest resort to open on Estero Island has had to overcome numerous hurdles. Devastation from Hurricane Ian is just one of them. Even before Ian, this resort was poised to change the landscape of the north end of the beach. Before the storm, many locals were concerned about the size of the resort and the effect it could have on traffic which is notoriously bad in this area. But those are in the rearview mirror and the project is seeing an even brighter light at the end of what has been a long tunnel.
We can’t wait to see neon signs like this one, illuminated at Margaritaville Resort on Fort Myers Beach. This is at Margaritaville Restaurant at Universal CityWalk in Orlando. Soon we won’t have to drive inland for the experience.

The Caribbean themed resort covers seven acres on Estero Island, has more than 250 rooms and boasts an elevated bridge. The bridge from the resort stretches above Estero Blvd, and onto the beach offering a safe crossing for guests and visitors. Margaritaville is bringing some 200 jobs to the island which is a nice boost. Especially following Hurricane Ian. The official opening date has not been announced yet, however, the date keeps getting closer. Now, Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach is accepting reservations for the holidays.

The 10 Most Expensive Properties On Fort Myers Beach Right Now
If you’ve got the money and want to live on the beach, there are a lot of options. Taking a look at the 10 most expensive properties on Fort Myers Beach breaks down into 3 categories.
- Properties that survived the hurricane. Repairs could be made and the residence is ready for you to move in.
- Properties that didn’t survive. In this case, you can buy pristine location lots. Some have been cleared away and are ready for construction, some still have ruined homes on them.
- New construction. Someone else has already bought the property and made plans for the new residence whether it’s a home or condo. You put your money down and can move in when it’s done.
There’s obviously benefits to each. For the first, that home is clearly well built and can withstand a lot. The second one means you get to build exactly what you want, within code of course. The third seems to be mostly for condos. I see language like “Phase 2” and “Phase 3” around these.
If you think these properties are pricey now, wait until Margaritaville is open and there’s a LOT more people coming to the beach. I really think the real estate market on Fort Myers Beach has more room to run. Provided we can make it through this hurricane season. One storm, as we know, can change everything.
