I've never rented out my house as an AirBnB, but I'm sure those that do always have to hope that their place won't be trashed, like one in Tampa was after the renter threw a house party.
Jason Lowman owns a home in Ybor City that he rents out as an AirBnB and got a call from a neighbor that there were over 200 people there. He rushed to the house right away and had to call Tampa PD to break up the party. If that wasn't bad enough, he later saw on social media all the destruction.
The person who rented the home advertised the house party and now will be paying for it...the bill to repair the damage and replace the broken items totals nearly $14,000.
AirBnB has assigned someone to this incident and Jason has hired a lawyer.
