George Lucas is getting his own action figure. Hasbro has announced it's honoring the Star Wars creator with his own figure. The toy features Lucas disguised as a stormtrooper, even boasting a removable helmet and blaster.

The release is happening in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Lucas' famed production company, Lucasfilm.

“As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I have both the honor and privilege to bring characters from the franchise to life in product form every single day,” Vickie Stratford, senior director of product design at Hasbro, said in a statement. “When the opportunity came to design the George Lucas figure, we were especially excited for this project."

Stratford added, "This figure is just one of the many ways we can honor his legacy for years to come, and we hope fans cherish it as much as we did."

A pre-sale for the toy launched on Amazon Wednesday (Sept. 29), but unfortunately, it already sold out. We're crossing our fingers that the action figure will be back in stock by the time of its official release in 2022. Keep up with the toy's availability via Amazon here.
