VIDEO: Drunk Fan Nearly Takes Out Drum Kit at Foo Fighters Gig
Remember how video surfaced last week of Dave Grohl falling off stage at a special Las Vegas Foo Fighters gig that was part of CES 2019? Apparently, that wasn’t even the craziest highlight of the show.
Video has since gone viral from that same January 9 show of a very drunk man, who identified himself as “Jay from Bombay,” dancing and interacting with the Foos during their set. (It’s not yet known if Jay is from Mumbai, which was formerly called Bombay, or if he’s some sort of bigwig at Bombay Sapphire Gin, which might explain his drunkenness.)
Anyway, at around the 6:04 mark in the video below, Jay steps onto the drum riser, nearly falls into it but somehow manages to fall backward onto his feet. He was then escorted off stage by security, which led to Grohl falling over in a fit of laughter.
“You know, I didn’t know it was going to be this f*ckin’ fun [to play for you],” said Grohl. “I was like, ‘Okay, we’ll go play some songs.’ Holy sh*t! What f*cking kind of convention do you guys f*cking have right now? What is this sh*t?!”
And Grohl’s thoughts on Jay?
“His ass is so fired! I don’t know who he works for,” said Grohl.
