The single subscription, according to CNET, says that it would combine music, original TV shows, and news, which includes Texture, which was a digital magazine that the provider picked up in March, one in which lumps in different access to magazines for a single fee.
They haven't had any issues as far as getting people to sign up for the music portion, and have been active for three years, so if they do end up going toward the yearly subscription model, they could give Amazon a run for their money in terms of what would they rather pay for.
The difference, however, Apple does not provide other goods and services to your door for 2-day shipping, so that might be the deciding factor, at least for now.
